Best Books to Read

Best Books to Read

The best books to read are ones that take you on a journey, they transport you into the world of words. Authors provide you with the opportunity to seek  a fresh perspective on life. A book can impart emotions in a way that consumes the reader.

Books are my solitude, a time given to myself to immerse myself into a world created by another. Between the pages of a book are hours of sheer delight. Paperback; hardback, Kindle and audio book, each method of reading provides a learning experience filled with enjoyment (if the plot turns out to be a goodie!).

I am such a sucker for books that I have all the equipment. Equipment? yes, serious readers like myself take pride in their kit. Reading is a hobby not to be taken lightly (just kidding). My current state of affairs includes the following; paper backs, hardbacks, a Kindle Fire HD, Echo Dot, Bose Soundlink and Beats by Dre because I’m a nerd like that.

On a more serious note, I enjoy the experience of reading, whether it be via the pages of a book or a swipe of a screen. I am also subscribed to both Audible and Kindle unlimited both of which save me a MASSIVE amount on money per month. Without these I would be over budget each and every month!

Books I have loved

Philippa Gregory is my go to gal for a fix of history. Her vivid stories transport you into world you believe is utterly real and beyond beautiful. Some have even made it onto the screen.

This series is a favourite due to the diversity of the individual stories. Each one evokes a different emotion and resonates with past experiences.

Possibly one of the funniest books I have ever read and have re read a few times!

My go to girls Cristina Lauren smashed the beautiful series with humer, sass and a little bit of sexy thrown in there too! I am yet to find a book by these two I do not love while working my way through their collection.

Again, quite possibly one of the funniest books I’ve read but It is by Tracy Bloom and I love her. the twists in all her stories get me every time because the plots are so very relatable to every day life.

The kindle I use is

My top authors

Alice Clayton provides some hilariously funny romances in series form mostly. This can be annoying when anticipating the arrival of the next instalment however they never fail to provide endless entertainment.

Philippa Gregory is my queen of all things Tudor. As a Brit, I love me some Tudor history even of the slightly made up kind. Philippa has a way of writing in such detail you believe you are watching a film using you imagination.

Christina Lauren, these cleaver ladies have ruled my life for months with their witty comedy and steamy scenes. with 14 books under their belt I am sure I will never complete all of their work, I believe they have pens of fire!

Audible the game changer

Audible I something I totally forgot I had. I signed on recently to find enough credits stored to purchase the whole series of A Game Of Thrones and still have 4 credits left over! The 30 day free trial was a no brainer for myself and with such a low monthly cost, that I managed to forget I was paying, I am loving it!

Books I currently have on pause:

With the use of a bluetooth speaker, I have found myself listening to audiobooks more and more. This provides an alternative option to music while stimulating the mind.

I am either using the Amanzon Echo

or a Bose SoundLink  both provide excellent quality sound and experience.

Are you a huge book worm like me? if so, what are your go to books or authors?

I HAVE to reading No One Ever Has Sex On A Tuesday! The title alone pulled me in, but I can’t wait to add it to my reading list!

My favorite book at the moment is Think And Grow Rich!
